THINGS TO DO and SEE
Magnificent
Acadia National Park, where the mountains meet the sea, offers about
55 miles of the Rockefeller carriage roads, and 160 miles of hiking
trails. During the spring, summer and fall, some of the many suggested
activities might be hiking, biking, kayaking, whale watching, visiting
interesting museums, sailing, canoeing, fishing, boutiquing, antiquing
and touring. If
you are an explorer, we suggest you spend at least a week. Day trips
can easily be taken to Blue Hill, Castine, Camden, Deer Isle, Schoodic
Peninsula and Campabello Island, FDR's summer home.
